Dernière mise à jour : 8 oct. 2020

1. Use an inclusive approach:

Start by welcoming each student with a smiling face (behind the mask). Present yourself the first day and try to impress them by demonstrating your skills, sharing knowledge and personal experiences with them.

2. Drive metacognitive thinking method:

Let the students present themselves, ask them about their expectations from the training, and how you can help them to achieve their dreams, goals, personal development and things they want to acquire. Make each lesson a step towards the processed goals.

3. Use a motivational approach:

Students might find difficulties or face challenges such as breakdown of their strategy. Be committed and motivate them by an approach rooted in their specific context.

4. Use self-evaluation and self-assesment measurement tools:

In the end of each lesson, let the students evaluate themselves by saying at least one positive thing about themselves: a skill or a talent that could boost their confidence. Do not hesitate to raise their awareness about their hidden skills noticed during the class. It will draw a beautiful smile on their faces and make their eyes shine of happiness despite the masks.

5. Entertain:

Visiting the school's playgrounds from now and then is the best way to break the monotony of the class teaching and method. Use brainstorming, focus groups and serious games to keep your students focused on their lessons and goals.
